The first truly HOT day of the year fell upon Jen and Tim’s wedding day…but a nice breeze was a welcomed reprieve from the heat for the bridal party who, except for the bride, were all dressed in classic black. Ironically, the weather was quite reminiscent of the steamy August day when we shot their metro engagement session on Riverfront and throughout downtown Harrisburg. The images from that session were incorporated into their customized guest signature album, which yielded tons of complimentary comments as guests arrived for the ceremony. Cool!
The wedding day was filled with laughs, tears of joy, and more laughs. The reception was topped off with a stellar fireworks display, a surprise treat for the guests. Tim’s North Carolinian family explored the abundant charm and attractions throughout Gettysburg during their visit for the wedding, as witnessed by the Confederate hat worn by numerous wedding guests throughout the evening. :-) Best wishes Jen & Tim!
Friday evening was a busy one at The White Wolf Group. We had several visitors stop by to pick up framed images and print orders as we packed the car for Jen and Tim's wedding the following day. We loaded TONS of equipment, since theirs was a combo (photo & video) contract. Just as we closed the "lid" (what I call the hatch), our final Mommy and Me Mini session subjects arrived.
A past bridal client Tammy and her stellar student kids, K & B opted for a casual in-studio session. Tammy's sweetie pie hubby gifted her with the session for Mom's Day. We cracked up so much my side hurt by the time we called it a wrap! Tammy commented on her way out the door that this was the BEST gift EVER. Wow, what a compliment!
I wanted to share a few cute shots from the session.....
November 29th was an AWESOME day!Unbelievably and unseasonably warm for the
weekend after Thanksgiving in Central PA. A spectacular day for Julie and Mike’s wedding…which was one of those we
KNEW we must cover, upon the first time we met with them. Our personalities are a perfect match! So
much so our first meeting with them lasted much longer than a typical one,
only because we wound up cracking each other up telling stories and just simply
connecting.A sure sign of the fun we would have
capturing their wedding...
We started the day at the Wyndham where Mike surprised Julie
with an Elvis impersonator, one of the key reasons Mike insisted on videography
services to complement photography coverage. I cannot tell you how hysterical this surprise was…from the split
second Julie realized what was going on through the next 5 minutes or so of shock
while “Elvis” treated her to being All Shook Up!
They were married at the Lutheran Theological
Seminary in Gettysburg then hosted a FUN reception celebration at The Links at
Gettysburg afterward.We took advantage
of the warmth and made a pit stop at Little Roundtop (a Battlefield tourist hotspot).
We arrived with the bridal party just before
sunset and took complete advantage…..it was certainly in our favor to have the
most laid-back, adventurous bridal party to capture some super-stellar
images.
Sunday November 16th was a sunny, but cold day for Dennis and Tiffany's late-afternoon wedding. We even had our first snow flurries of the season between the ceremony and reception. We started the day with the girls at Sass Salon and Day Spa in Mechanicsburg. Here, the girls were treated to funky up-dos and artistic make-up application. Beautiful work as always, Sass ladies!
From there, we headed to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church to capture some of the ornate details of the church before the groomsmen arrived for a complete Orthodox wedding including both the Service of the Betrothal and the Ceremony of the Sacrament of Marriage.
Their ADORABLE ring bearer was quite shy at the beginning of day, attempting to hide from our cameras at times....but by the end of the night, he became an aspiring photographer!
The beautiful footbridge at The Links at Gettysburg
For the fourth exciting year, The White Wolf Group is honored to be a part of the exquisite Bridal Faire at The Links of Gettysburg this coming Sunday, March 1st. Stop by, indulge in a glass of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries, sample the decadent cakes and pastries provided by some of the area's finest bakers, and of course meet us and check out our work. What a perfect afternoon! We look forward to seeing you there
Unfortunately, we had a prior engagement today and were unable to take part in WHTM's Perfect Affair Bridal Expo at the Zembo Temple in uptown Harrisburg. Nonetheless, we're offering a "No-Show at the Expo" giveaway. So sorry for the cheesy name, but you get the point....it's the prize we would have offered as a door prize had we been there. The 15th caller who contacts the studio at 717.395.9281 and mentions this blog post TAKES THE PRIZE!
We hope the show was a great one for fellow wedding professionals, guests, and particularly exciting for one of our June couples, featured in the "mock reception" segment at the show! :-) Hope you two had fun!!!!
The West Shore Chamber of Commerce celebrated 60 years of inspiring business growth in Central Pennsylvania in 2008. Several events were coordinated throughout the year to mark this significant milestone. On October 25th, The 60th Anniversary Gala was held at the luxurious Harrisburg Hilton. The White Wolf Group was approached to serve as a service sponsor for the event. Of course, we obliged!
The anniversary committee was receptive to our idea to offer an event-opening multimedia presentation complete with historical recollections interlaced with photographs from 1948 to present. I'm ecstatic to say it was a huge HIT!
In addition to the welcome piece, we also provided on-site portrait photography to guests who were dressed to walk the red carpet. A portion of the proceeds from the portrait orders was donated back to the Chamber. Thanks to the Chamber for the opportunity to be such an integral part of such a momentous occasion and to Rhonda Hebbard of Luxor Events and Marketing for coordinating this overwhelmingly successful event.
After the MSABC walk, we grabbed a quick bite at one of our favorite local eateries, Dukes Riverside, then headed to the cemetery for a senior session with a reluctant subject.."J". (yes, I said cemetery :-) On the way to meet us, J told her mom she would allow us to take 5 and only 5 pictures of her and that was her limit...because she does not like to be photographed. Well, an hour and a half later, I just think we may have converted her to our way of thinking. The session was a blast for us, her mom, younger brother and most of all, HER. It's always fulfilling to exceed expectations and enlighten subjects as to how fun it can be to be themselves and feel good doing it. :-) A few favs from the session...
